- Newmarket Racecourses Conference Centre, Newmarket, CB8 0TF, United Kingdom
BSAC is holding several regional workshops on OPAT. These workshops look at improving patient experience and treatment outcomes. This workshop will take place in Newmarket.
TOPICS COVERED
- Outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT) allows for medically stable patients to be discharged (or avoid admission completely) who require a course of intravenous antimicrobial agents. OPAT is a vital scheme that can prevent hospital admissions, reduce a patient’s length of stay in hospital through early discharge, plus reduce the risk of hospital acquired infections. If you are thinking about setting up, or currently run an OPAT service.
- BSAC is hosting six Regional Workshops across the UK: Belfast (14 June), Birmingham (21 June), Glasgow (28 June), London (6 September), Bristol (10 September) and Newmarket (13 September).
- Our National OPAT Conference will be held online and in-person at the Royal College of Physicians, Liverpool, on 8 November 2024. This is a superb networking event for new and experienced OPAT practitioners which provides a platform for sharing ideas, expertise, and best practice to better support OPAT practice.
