In the second event in our new Pathology Careers Webinar series being run collaboratively by the RCPath, the Pathology Subcommittee of UCL Medical Society, and the University of Manchester Pathology Society, this online event will shine a spotlight on a career in neuropathology. Our speaker, Dr Samar Betmouni works as a consultant neuropathologist. The session (to be held on Zoom Webinar) aims to give medical students and Foundation Doctors a comprehensive introduction to this fascinating specialty. Our speaker will cover:

- Her personal journeys into neuropathology
- What working as a consultant neuropathologist is like day to day
- The contribution that neuropathology makes to medicine and healthcare.

Meet our speaker
Dr Betmouni is a Consultant Neuropathologist with diagnostic, research and leadership experience in the NHS and University sectors. She is the Digital Neuropathology Lead for the British Neuropathological Society (BNS) Professional Affairs Committee and the Neuropathology Representative on the Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath) Digital Pathology Committee. She is also a member of the RCPath Diversity Network. In a previous role as Director of a digital health project, she has worked closely with local council, third sector and industry partners to develop collaborative health and care project. Her area of interest is the effective and sustainable adoption of digital health technologies and innovations in clinical practice.
