Following UK National Screening Committee recommendations for the NHS Cervical Screening Programme, cytology will be replaced by primary Human Papillomavirus (HPV) screening.
NHS England and NHS Improvement undertook a national procurement process to secure laboratory services to provide HPV screening, across nine areas covering England.
NHS England and NHS Improvement is now in the final stages of the process of formalising contracts that will start from 1st July and have published an update which is available to download below.
